Description

Cosmopolitan and effortlessly bilingual, Montreal is the largest city in Canada's French-speaking province of Québec. This UNESCO City of Design offers everything from the arts to ice-hockey, the maple harvest to craft beer, and world-renowned jazz and comedy festivals. Montreal & Quebec City Pocket Precincts is your curated guide to these cities' best cultural, shopping, eating and drinking experiences. As well as detailed reviews and maps for major attractions through to hidden gems, this guide includes a selection of 'field trips' encouraging you to venture outside the city to Québec City with its centuries-old heritage charm, north to Mont Tremblant's adventure, and west to Canada's capital, Ottawa.

About the Author

Melbourne writer and broadcaster Patricia Maunder lived in Montreal from 2012 to 2016, and it quickly became her other, much-loved hometown. From winter wonders on her doorstep to maple beer, poutine (fries with cheese curd and gravy) and the world's best bagels, Montreal gave her much to write and talk about – including for the city's English-language daily newspaper, The Gazette, and her blog, Zut alors! An Australian in Québec.
